Easy quilt pattern for my original Random Patchwork comes after many people asked if I would publish a pattern similar to the ones I sell in the shop. It's a fun pattern that you can mix up using all different fabrics or an entire fabric line. There are no matched seams within the blocks. You will receive a PDF download to print out and sew yourself! There are color pictures as well as charts, 7 pages total. Finished size is 48x60".
Yardage requirements: 5/8 yard of each of 20 fabrics are needed for piecing, adding an additional 1/2 yard for binding & 2-4 yards for the backing, depending on width. I have also included "scrappy" cutting information that allows you to pull from your stash & use your scraps. For this quilt pictured, I used Jennifer Paganelli's Hotel Frederiksted fabric line.
Photos after the main photo and the blocks are a little different. I took creative license with almost all the same size pieces and put them together as I liked rather than placing them in blocks. I love that style the most and that's my original vision that I turned into a quilt pattern to make it look similar. I have made these for years and had so many requests for a pattern, so I came up with this pattern. If you want more free form, I recommend making the pattern as outlined. After you made it once, you may be able to just wing it with the sizes. I usually put music on and lay it all out based on the size I want mixing color and pattern evenly. It's a relaxing & fun process for me. I hope you enjoy it!
Please send me an etsy conversation if you have any questions about this pattern, or anything else in my shop.
